about STOTT PILATES®
STOTT PILATES® is a modern development of the original Pilates method created by Joseph Pilates. The founders, Lindsey and Moira Merrithew, have for more than twenty years been working on refining and optimizing the method in cooperation with other experts in training and rehabilitation. The result is a safe and efficient method with high quality and the best reputation worldwide.
Training to become a STOTT PILATES® instructor will give you a solid base in functional anatomy, teaching ability and the flexibility to train people with special needs and targets. After finishing your course you will be listed on the STOTT PILATES® international list of instructors and can instruct globally in the name of STOTT PILATES®.
The education consists of several courses:
To become a fully certified STOTT PILATES® instructor requires that you complete all part courses: IMP, AM, IR, AR, ICCB, ACCB, and ISP. You are also required do a practical and written test within six months after having completed the education. As an option, you can achieve certification for parts of the program.
