Intensive Reformer - Level 1 (IR)

The course Intensive Reformer Level 1 will teach you how to create training sessions and to lead sessions in Reformer Essential and Intermediate for groups as well as private training. Also for clients at various levels and different needs. We do recommend that you complete IMP before this course.

Beyond the general targets, the course gives you the following knowledge:
  • STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles
  • Essential, Intermediate, Power workouts
  • Efficient and safe use of Reformer in order to develop stability, strength, suppleness, balance and coordination.
  • Efficient communication, visual ability, verbal keywords and knowledge about what improves training results and boosts client motivation.
  • Training program for groups and private training
  • Suitable exercises for clients with special needs.
  • The theories about how the exercises are adapted and developed for different clients.
  • 139 exercises with a number of variations.​
  • How the various exercises are put together to create efficient sessions.

Previous knowledge:
Basic knowledge in anatomy and training.
Pilates training 
Experience as an instructor.
IMP recommended.

Installment
Payment by installment over 12 months is possible. A 10% interest will be charged.

Certification requires:
50 hours instruction by teacher, over 10 educational days (IR).
Minimum 10 hours observation.
Minimum 40 hours practice on your own.
Minimum 25 hours practice as a teacher.

​​For those with difficulties to go through IR all at once, we offer to take the course in two modules. Content and targets are the same as for the main course. Module 2 follows module 1 and to be certified you have to do both modules within six months. These part courses are 30 hours for module 1 and 20 hours for module 2.
